Ingredients
Active ingredient (in each tablet): Cetirizine HCl 10 mg. Purpose: Antihistamine. Inactive ingredients: corn starch, FD&C blue no. 1 aluminum lake, hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, polydextrose, polyethylene glycol, povidone, titanium dioxide, triacetin.
Directions
Adults and children 6 years and over: one 10 mg tablet once daily; do not take more than one 10 mg tablet in 24 hours. A 5 mg product may be appropriate for less severe symptoms. Adults 65 years and over: ask a doctor. Children under 6 years of age: ask a doctor. Consumers with liver or kidney disease: ask a doctor. Other information: store between 20-25°C (68- 77°F). Uses: temporarily relieves these symptoms due to hay fever or other upper respiratory allergies: runny nose; sneezing; itchy, watery eyes; itching of the nose or throat.

I’ve used Allertec and Zyrtec for years, but they can get so expensive. This is a fantastic budget-friendly alternative that works just as well so far! I’ve been taking them daily for two months now and haven’t noticed a difference between their effectiveness and that of Zyrtec or Allertec. Unless you leave it on your tongue for a few seconds before swallowing (like one morning when I forgot where I put my water and was met with a bitter taste), it doesn’t have a flavor. Also relatively small and easy to swallow for anyone who wonders about that. Very satisfied with this purchase!

After taking this generic Zyrtec for over six months, I think I can confidently say that this is very effective for both my dermatographism and my dog’s seasonal allergies.For my dog, I have a little Yorkie who has terrible seasonal allergies. Her nose will get clogged with phlegm and she’ll have horrible coughing fits that sometimes even trigger her gag reflex or make her become hoarse. BE SURE to check dosage with your vet – for her, I give her a quarter of a pill when her symptoms seem particularly bad, and it does clear up her coughing and phlegmy wheezing for the rest of the day. It’s just as effective for her as the children’s benedryl she was taking before (again, always check with your vet for how much to give) and it doesn’t make her too sleepy to play during the day!For me, I developed a pretty bad case of dermatographism out of nowhere about eight months ago. If you weren’t familiar with that term, dermatographism (or skin writing disease) is when your body spontaneously decides that your skin all over your body is allergic to TOUCH. Yes, that’s right. Every time I bump into a piece of furniture, rub up against something slightly abrasive like carpet, have a friendly dog jump on me and scratch me a little, or even cross my legs for too long and the crease of my pants digs into my skin, I get horrible, red, itchy, upraised hives. They’re usually in the shape of the scratch so I look like I’ve just been mauled by wolverine or in the form of red upraised hive bumps. It’s very itchy, I would say itchier than a mosquito bite, and if I scratch it, of course it makes it much worse and redder and usually bigger.So after confirming with my doctor that my body was conspiring to turn me into one giant hive, I tried this antihistamine and have been on it for about seven months. It does NOT make my symptoms disappear, but it greatly reduces the itchiness of the hives and makes it less upraised and pronounced. After I take this, the area where my skin is scratched gets red, but not nearly as upraised and is MUCH less itchy. I can tell a huge difference first thing in the morning when I’m about to take my next dose and the previous day’s dose is wearing off – the hives are much worse, but get better about half an hour after I take my next dose.So I guess I’m writing this for sufferers of dermatographism like me – please give this a try! It’s absolutely non-drowsy for me when I take it alone, but when I couple it with another antihistamine, I do get drowsy. I imagine it would be just as effective for people with all different types of allergies as well.

I ordered in Oct 21 & my daughter & I just finished thos bottle. Mainly myself because I took just about every day. I can get away with a few days not taking them but I can tell if I really forget cause my nose will start to contest, itch more blowing. This product turned my allergies all the way around. Before my eyes watered sooo much ppl would think I was crying even when laughing or just happy mood. If I started to speak after about 5 min or less my sinuses would start to flood. I could get another word out without scuffing, clearing my throat, watery eyes & to keep from tryin to gether myself together in public I just stop talking or sum up everything in a short sentence. Since taking this product it really has changed my social interactions ten fold! It was my insecurity during social events. I didn’t want ppl thinkn I was crying & if u try to explain they don’t believe u..just like when ppl really shed a tear & put it off on smthn as a joke..lol but yea I’m ordering my 2nd bottle. I used to take Zyrtec every day for a skin condition I have and I tried many other store brands to try and save money but none of them worked as well as Zyrtec…until I came across Amazon’s version of Zyrtec. I have saved so much money using this version and it works just as well as the original!!

before inflation made Everything so expensive, these used to be way cheaper than they are now (april of 2024). this 300 count package is around 21.00 or so… you pay that much if not more than 21.00 for 30 here locally. so to me this was a no-brainer. almost a year supply for what 30 would cost locally. 🙂

Seems to work about as well as the name brand. Like the name brand, it doesn’t remove 100% of our symptoms but is worth taking to get the bulk of them under control. Good price.
