My malitpoo always seems to have an ear infection that comes back each summer and lingers on and on and on. I take him to the vet and they prescribe us some really strong ear drops that always make me scared to use them for an extended length of time…mostly because there have been several dog owners who have sworn that their dog went deaf from using them. I read so many positive reviews on this ear wipe product, that I decided to take a chance and try it out to see if it would help my pup and his ear issues. The container is a screw off top and it’s pretty easy to use. Just take one of the wipes and softly rub inside of your dogs ear (just make sure you’re not pushing the wipe or your fingers in too deep. Don’t reuse the wipe and just grab another one from the container and wipe away all the yuckiness and gunk that is in the visible part of your pup’s ears. If you are cleaning both ears, be sure to use a new wipe for each ear. I’ve used this on my pup for about a few days now and it seems to be helping him. It’s not overly messy like some of the other squirt in ear cleaning products and my pup doesn’t seem to mind it very much at all. The smell isn’t the greatest but it isn’t repulsive or very hard to deal with either. It’s a kind of aloe-like, somewhat minty cucumber-ish scent…hard to pinpoint exactly but again, it’s not bad at all and it definitely beats my pup’s sticky ear gunk smell. So, I’m super happy that this product is effective 🙂
