I have a destructo miniature schnauzer. She automatically goes for a toy’s weakest point. On this toy it is on the back. I do not know why they did this but there are 4 circles in the back. I think they are for putting treats in but the design is bad. They made flaps that are supposed to hold the treats but they were irresistible to the dog. She started chewing and pulling on them as soon as she got the toy. The rest of the toy held up pretty well. I think the manufacturer should skip the treat holders and put in extra squeakers. That would work better for my dog.

My dog LOVES this. He goes for it every day. Keeps him entertained longer than anything else we have. Good for weight management since it turns 1 treat, broken up & tucked in the pockets, into a 15 minute activity. Very pleased. Also standing up well to aggressive play. Highly recommend. I have a 20 lb terrier 2 yrs old.

It’s a fun toy for what it is, but it’s not durable at all. My dog literally ate the little flaps that hold the treats in the neck within an hour, maybe less as I wasn’t really timing him. He also ripped the long neck off of the body. The good news is the body itself has a pocket that I think is meant to fill the rest of the neck and he still likes playing with them separately as two toys, now. However, the crinkle plastic comes off very easily, so I had to do a little surgery to get it out far enough down the neck so he isn’t eating the plastic but still gets to chew and play and make the noise he loves. The head has a squeaker that is still squeaking, though. So that’s somewhat durable.

My dog loves puzzle toys and is incredibly food motivated. She has a bunch of different puzzles and I let her pick out which one she wants for what session. This is one of her favorites!It’s a well made toy and gives my dog a good challenge. I started by keeping the toy unraveled so all she had to do was pull the treat out of the little pockets. She nailed that down so I put the neck(?) into the shell. She’s a Shih Tzu and has a flat face, so this only makes her work harder for her treats. She has so much fun with this, whether it’s used as a puzzle or a toy!

So the pockets on this aren’t good, at least for a small/medium dog. Either the treat have to be super big and hard or the treat just smooshed in the pocket or stuck under the flaps. However, as a tug/sensory toy this rocks for a small medium toy. Well built! I can play tug with my dog (25lbs) for hours without fear of it ripping and she loves the crinkling sound. So I took off one star because it was designed as a treat dispensing toy but I’m not disappointed at all. Nova gives it 4 paws up!

This may be better for a small dog. I have a large dog and he got frustrated trying to get the small dog food pieces out and ripped the fabric a bit. I’ll have to try it with bigger treats maybe. I used smaller because I thought it would take longer for him to get them and keep him entertained longer. But; he still picks it up and whips it around. It is very long when unrolled so I have to be careful not to get too close or he whips me. It’s probably two feet long. He likes that it squeaks and runs through the house to play with it playing keep away. So far the squeakers haven’t broken.

Solved picky-eater syndrome! At first thought this a waste of money. Forged treats for a moment then neglected even as a play toy. Two days later noticed our Bichon forging for treats. Now we put her kibble in it. She gets excited seeing us refill and now no more picky eater. So glad I didn’t return!
