I was really skeptical on this purchase. My tiny little 85 lb. boy likes to slop his water all around after drinking and it gets all over the floor, which, to be honest, I don’t even care because he is the best good boy and can do what he wants. But, my floor isn’t waterproof, so… I ordered, placed the little disc in after filling with water and I’ll be d a m n e d. It really works. He isn’t able to slop his water hardly at all. The bowl holds a lot, its easy to clean and refill. He didnt have to get used to drinking out of it at all, I led him to it, showed him it was water, he smelled it, took a lick, looked at me like I am an i d i o t and then walked off. Later, he was drinking and I was refilling. Great bowl!

This bowl has helped with puddles of water allover my laminate flooring. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats that drink from this bowl. My lab is the worst with leaving trails of water puddles all over the place. This bowl has definitely decreased the amount of water he can lap up and let run out of his mouth as he walks away from the water bowl. All our pets quickly learned how to use this water device. It is not a 100% fix but it definitely helps. Lately my lab has been quite rough at the water bowl and has figured out how to push the floating center down to get more water at a time. Oh well, I still like it better than an open bowl. Cleans up easily and fills easily. Recommend for those sloppy dogs who make a mess at the water bowl.

We bought this bowl hoping to end slurped water on the dog mat and kitchen floor. Our hope was realized.The bowl holds enough water to last our 2 German Shepherds most days. It’s easy to top off the water on days they are really thirsty. The bowl is stainless steel and is easy to clean.

This is a great bowl, but a bonus is that it is so stable that we are able to use it in the car. We are on a 35 hour cross country drive and have been able to leave the bowl in the back seat without worrying that it will spill all over. We will it about ⅓ of the way and not a drop has spilled.I was concerned that she wouldn’t be able to figure out how to use it but she went right up to it and started drinking. the shape is great as it makes it very stable.

Our blue heeler loves to put his feet in the water bowl. Feet in, water out on the floor! This bowl keeps the water in and the feet out! Very clever and practical. Saves a lot of cleaning up. Thank you!

Posted my review and the seller saw read it and reached out to me directly. Offered a full-refund! Great customer service – 5 stars! Since product doesn’t work for large thirsty breeds I cannot give them the full five stars, but updated my star-rating from 2 stars to 4 stars because customer service is as important as is the product(s) being sold.**********************************************Purchased July 11th. Reviewed August 22nd.- One star for price considering the function lacks.- Two starts for functionality because it doesn’t work for large breed dogs with a thirst.- Five stars for easy to use and durability (from what I can tell).Notice my photo and the water line; compare it to the product photo. They are very different.We have a double-coat, intelligent Golden Retriever who was able to learn how to use the device but it does not deliver enough water for our large breed dog to want to continue to use it. He will attempt it three +/- times, walk away and not return until we change the bowl or remove the floating device (i.e. hours of not drinking). This is NOT an option for us, especially during the sweltering months of summer.Our return window has passed; I didn’t return the item during the window because our family tried different techniques giving ample time for each training period (as is suggested in the product description – to be patient), but to no avail. Large breeds especially need a lot of water and after exercise. They cannot quench their thirst with this device. Consider when you have been parched. Would you want to drink for a baby bottle or a dropper?You can see in the video that the lid floats too high, not dispensing enough water for the dog to satisfy its thirst. We first got our dog used to the bowl, then we added the lid, tried it at first but needed to place treats in the water (however the treats sank through the hole). That technique clumsily worked for a short time. Once he did figure out the floating device, we left him to it for a day. He was so thirsty he tried to find a way to get to the water between the side of the bowl and the floating device using his snout.We now have a $22 water bowl, of which we did not need.

When my golden/shepard drank his water from his bowl he would nearly empty it; 60% would slop on the floor, 20% back in his dish, and he’d get the last 20% in his belly.We tried all sorts and sizes of dish mats, mud rugs, deep water bowls and it was always gross! I washed this when it arrived, filled it up, and put it down to get a treat to train him to use it. When I turned around he was already drinking from it. All afternoon and evening, I’d watch him drink in amazement. The only water that escaped the bowl or his mouth was the little bit that dripped from his cheeks.I am in love with this bowl! Now to find a matching food dish and stand.Thinking about it? Wondering if it’s worth it? Get it! It is!

This bowl works incredibly well for letting our 9 month old puppy drink without trailing water all over the floor. She figured it out without any issues. Our grumpy 11 year old cat also figured it out quickly and uses it daily as well. Would definetly recommend if you have a messy drinker on your hands.
